If an eligible elector believes on reasonable grounds that a candidate has contravened the Municipal Elections Act, with respect to municipal campaign finances, they may apply to have an audit of the candidate's campaign finances. The Compliance Audit Committee reviews such applications and decides to grant or reject an audit.
