Celebrate this Civic long weekend with a special concert featuring The Good Brothers and The Sadies

The Good Brothers are inductees to the Canadian Country Hall of Fame along with many other awards and recognitions (see bio below), and 2023 marks 50 years of making music for folks at home and around the world. The Sadies are a well-established rock n' roll band that won the Juno Award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year this year in 2023. Both bands have a strong Newmarket connection with several members having lived in Town and we are grateful for the opportunity to have them on the stage together in Newmarket to celebrate their great achievements on August 6th

Did you know that The Good Brothers are made up of twin brothers, Brian and Bruce Good and their younger brother, Larry Good? The talented musical family continues with Bruce's sons, Travis and Dallas Good who founded The Sadies. Unfortunately Dallas passed away in 2022 however his legacy continues and the family is looking forward to perform together on the same stage in Newmarket!

Set times:

  • The Good Brothers will be performing from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m.
  • The Sadies will perform from 7:45 to 9 p.m.

Please bring your own seating. Food and beverage will be available for purchase on site by The Irv and The George.

The Good Brothers Bio:

The Good Brothers have been honoured with 8 consecutive Juno Awards as Canada's top country group. In 2004 the brothers were inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. The Goods received a "Life Time Achievement Award" from The Toronto Musician's Association in 2015. They were presented with the "Impact Award" for their contribution to country music in their home province from the Country Music Association of Ontario in 2019. Recently they completed their 45th tour of Europe and have also performed extensively throughout North America with the late great Gordon Lightfoot. 2023 marks 50 years of making music for folks at home and around the world.
