AVA Digital Awards - Newmarket Ice Lounge
Newmarket's social media campaign #NewmarketIceLounge received a gold award in the Social Media Site/Event Promotion category in the AVA Digital Awards competition for 2014. The AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of media that is part of the evolution of digital communication. This year, the 2014 AVA Digital Awards received over 2000 entries throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries. The AVA Digital Awards are administrated by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (ACMP).
Marketing Excellence by the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO)
Newmarket received the prestigious Lieutenant Governor's Award for Marketing Excellence by the Economic Developers Council of Ontario for best promotional print publication (population of 50,000 to 250,000) for its 2012/2013 Community Report. The 2012/2013 Community Report centres on the Town's ranking as the tenth best place to live in Canada according to MoneySense Magazine and illustrates the many aspects that come together to create a successful community. This is the fourth EDCO award won by the Town of Newmarket. The Town was also given a second place honourable mention in the Collaborations/ Partnership category for its involvement in the Healthcare Ecosphere - Southlake Hospital Pilot with ventureLAB.
