Ways to Join the Discussion and Get Involved!
All meetings of Committee of the Whole and Council are held as hybrid meetings. The public may attend these meetings in person in the Council Chambers at 395 Mulock Drive or via the live stream available at www.newmarket.ca/meetings. These meetings will be listed below under separate “Electronic” categories.
When are Meeting Agendas Published?
Meeting Agendas are generally available by the timeline listed below:
- Committee of the Whole agenda - available 9 calendar days in advance of meeting date (i.e., on the Friday approximately a week and a half prior to the meeting date)
- Revised Committee of the Whole agenda - available 3 calendar days in advance of meeting date (i.e., the Friday immediately prior to meeting date)
- Council agenda - available 3 calendar days in advance of meeting date (i.e., the Friday immediately prior to meeting date)
- Statutory Public Meeting (typically at the start of the Council agenda) - available 3 calendar days in advance of meeting date (i.e., the Friday immediately prior to meeting date)
- Special Council, or Special Committee of the Whole, or Council Workshop agendas - available 3 calendar days in advance of the meeting date (i.e., the Friday immediately prior to meeting date)
Note: Council's Procedure By-law allows for a Special Meeting to be called within 24 hours. Such meeting notices will be posted online.
