All dogs and cats in the Town of Newmarket must have a license in accordance with the Animal Licensing, Regulation and Control By-law 2020-30 . This simple process will ensure you reunite with your pet if they get lost. If your cat or dog is not licensed, simply fill out an animal license application and purchase an animal tag online.

When licensing a Certified Guide or Assistance Dog for the first time, licensing must be done in person at any of the locations listed below. Future renewals may be done online once the status is verified. No fee is required for service animals, guide dogs, or police enforcement animals.

  • Municipal Offices (395 Mulock Drive)
  • Magna Centre (800 Mulock Drive)
  • Ray Twinney Recreation Complex (100 Eagle Street)
  • Newmarket Seniors Meeting Place (474 Davis Drive)
